Floridays is a true family owned and operated business. We have built, maintained, operated and chartered power and sailing vessels for over 35 years. In the US we have ran operations out of Sarasota Fl, Annapolis MD, San Diego CA, Newport Beach CA, Long Beach CA and of course Key West. Internationally, for many years we had a base in Nice, France with charters to Corsica and Sardinia along with operations in Greece, Turkey, the Seychelles, Tahiti and the Caribbean. We were going to Thailand 25 years ago, long before it became fashionable. We have taken well over 250,000 people sailing.
We are proud of the fact that many of our employees have been with us for an extended period of time and those that have moved on have done great things including Captaining and crewing on much larger yachts, becoming a New York City Fireman on a fire boat, some returned to Graduate School and launched Professional careers. One former Captain later become a US Diplomat and retired from the State Department.
All of us at Floridays are avid travelers, taking what we we see from the finest excursion operators and incorporating that in to our model. Treat guests, vendors, and employees with respect, provide them with complete honest answers and explanations, empower people to make decisions, provide a quality product at an affordable price, those are our core company values.
Interested in working for Floridays? Occasionally entry level positions as a mate or unlicensed deck hand open up. Experience in the tourism industry as a guide or group leader is a must. Expect to be on call seven days a week, with 12 hour days. It takes about four to five years experience along with meeting licensing requirements to become a Floridays Captain.
